The solid blue accents and yellow /blue watercolor wash are hand painted with underglaze. The white body clay is left as its natural color. The piece is food-safe and and covered with a glossy clear glaze. A built-in leaf strainer between the spout and body prevents most tea leaves from falling into your drink (1/8″ diameter holes, so will not filter out fine tea).

*What are Seconds? Seconds are pieces that don’t meet my quality standards to be full price, but still deserve love and a home! The issues do not affect daily usage or food safety, unless otherwise noted. Examples of flaws include: glaze issues (crawling, pinholes, discoloration) and form issues (distortion or warping). Some seconds are also just leftover glaze or form samples from larger projects and do not necessarily fit into my larger catalog!
