The solid orange accents and orange / blue watercolor wash are hand painted with underglaze. The white body clay is left as its natural color. The piece is food-safe and and covered with a glossy clear glaze. A built-in leaf strainer between the spout and body prevents most tea leaves from falling into your drink (1/8″ diameter holes, so will not filter out very fine tea).
