The exterior is painted with underglaze and hand-carved. The entire body is glazed with a glossy clear glaze. The main plant pot body includes drainage holes and a separate drainage tray, but can also accommodate a standard 4″ or 5″ nursery pot.

Seconds*: Plant pot rim is slightly warped (not perfectly circular) and the bottom interior of the planter has a rough chip embedded in the glaze (wandered in as a stray kiln shelf chip during the glaze firing). These imperfections do not affect usability as a plant pot, and are reflected in the price. See photos.

*What are Seconds? Seconds are pieces that don’t meet my quality standards to be full price, but still deserve love and a home! The issues do not affect daily usage or food safety, unless otherwise noted. Examples of flaws include: glaze issues (crawling, pinholes, discoloration) and form issues (distortion or warping). Some seconds are also just leftover glaze or form samples from larger projects and do not necessarily fit into my larger catalog!
